Frage von OttO Winter:Hallo NG,
neuerdings kann ich auf meinem PC mit dem Windows Media Player 7 keine
Mpeg- und AVI-Videos mehr abspielen. *.asf und *.wmv funktionieren
einwandfrei. Den Ton kann ich zwar hören, aber die Bildfläche bleibt
schwarz. Ich habs auch schon mit Zoom Player Standard 3.30 ausprobiert.
Gleiches Phänomen.
technische Daten: Win2000 SP4, Asus Av7133, Athlon 1333, 512 MB, ATI
Fire Gl2 64MB, jeweils aktuelle Treiber und Biose.
An Multimedia-u.ä.-Programmen sind installiert: Windows Media Player 7,
Nero 6, Photoshop 7, Imageready 7, Gimp 1.2, Freehand 9.
Was muss ich tun, damit ich *.avis und *.mpegs wieder mit Bild genießen
kann?

Entsprechende Codecs Installiert?
Sowie AVI als auch MPG sind Container. Für MPG ist höhstwarscheinlich
MPEG1 oder 2 drin. In AVIs kann DivX oder XVid oder oder oder drin sein.
Für AVI kannst du den zuverwendenden Codec mit GSpot feststellen. GSpot
zeigt auch an, ob der Codec installiert ist. Falls der nicht drauf ist
einfach den entsprechenden Codec installieren. Dann solltes gehen.
Für MPEG1 / 2 gibts auch entsprechenden Codecs. Oder Den Mediaplayer
Classic [1] nehmen. Der hat MPEG1 und 2 Decoder bereits implementiert.

Ab wann genau kann ich leider nicht sagen. Codec hab ich keinen angerührt.
Laut Gspot müssten die Files spielbar sein - hier ein mpeg Beispiel:
" DirectShow claims to be able to play the file. The following
combination of filters were used:

{MPEG-I Stream Splitter} (;Splitter)
{MPEG Video Decoder} (;Video Decoder)

Anbei die Liste der installierten Codecs lt. Gspot (;s.u.):
Warum benutzt mein System die Codecs nicht???
